本课程向学生介绍圣经希伯来文的基本文字和语法，以直接出自圣经的例子去帮助学生明白旧约作者是如何运用希伯来文去表达意思。同学也会学到如何在祇有基础的原文理解下使用字典、注释书、原文网页及程式等工具去做字义研究及释经。课程重点有别于传统的背诵生字和重视记忆，而是要帮助同学学习和具备使用多种原文释经工具的能力。

This course introduces students to the basic writing and grammar of biblical Hebrew, using examples directly from the Bible to help students understand how the Old Testament authors used Hebrew to express their meaning. Students will also learn how to use tools such as dictionaries, commentaries, original text web pages, and programs to conduct word meaning research and interpretation with only a basic understanding of the original text. The focus of the course is different from the traditional recitation of new words and emphasis on memorization, but to help students learn and have the ability to use a variety of original biblical interpretation tools.
